Contact export workflow
Create vCard 4.0 with correct UTF-8 folding and contact privacy
A contact record needs predictable structure, especially when a name or note includes non-ASCII characters. It also needs consent before sharing.

Provide a formatted name, then optional structure
Every generated record begins BEGIN:VCARD, then VERSION:4.0, includes required FN and ends END:VCARD. Optional N has family, given, additional, prefix and suffix components in that order. Empty optional fields are omitted.
Organization, title, notes and website are optional. Up to five typed emails and five typed phone texts are supported. Types are constrained to home, work and cell; the tool does not create photos, QR codes, imports or synchronization metadata.
Escape text and fold by UTF-8 octets
TEXT backslashes, commas and semicolons are escaped. Notes may contain newlines, which become literal \n escape sequences inside one logical property. Other fields reject newlines; all fields reject NUL, unsupported controls and unpaired surrogates to protect content-line structure.
Physical lines are at most 75 UTF-8 octets, including the one-space continuation prefix. Folding never splits a Unicode codepoint. The file uses CRLF and a final CRLF. A Chinese character or emoji uses multiple octets, so JavaScript string.length is not the folding measure.
Serialize honestly and test the importer
Phones use TEL;VALUE=text, preserving ordinary display text without claiming that the number can be dialed or belongs to the named person. The sample uses +000 INVALID deliberately. Email values are serialized text, not ownership verification.
Websites must use HTTP or HTTPS without embedded credentials or whitespace. Generating correct structure cannot guarantee identical support in Apple Contacts, Google Contacts or Outlook. Test-import the downloaded .vcf in the destination application before distributing it.
Share only the fields you have permission to share
The generator keeps contacts in page memory without uploads, persistence, URL insertion or input analytics. Editing removes preview and export. The output remains contact data even when syntax is correct.
Copying and downloading are explicit actions. Clearing the page cannot erase clipboard contents, downloaded files or address-book imports. Review notes for private context and obtain consent before sharing. Source snapshot: 2026-10-09.
