Base32 Encoder & Decoder: RFC 4648 and base32hex
Convert UTF-8 text or Hex bytes to standard Base32 and base32hex, inspect strict canonical padding and export complete local results.
Enabling local controls…
Text, bytes and Base32
Maximum 256 KiB of raw data; input 524288 characters, Base32 419432 characters. Hex requires complete byte pairs without spaces. Decoding accepts either case and omitted padding; supplied padding must be canonical and unused bits zero.
Local in-memory conversion without input storage. No Crockford support; this is not encryption or a security check.
Complete conversion
Enter data or load a sample, then convert. Editing settings clears old output.
If UTF-8 decoding fails, select Hex and run again to inspect raw bytes. An empty string is a valid zero-byte encoding.
How to use this tool
Choose encode or decode, the alphabet and text or Hex format. Load a sample or enter bounded data, convert and copy or download the complete result.
When not to use it
Base32 is encoding, not encryption. No Crockford guessing; malformed padding and non-zero residual bits are rejected. Invalid UTF-8 remains inspectable in Hex mode.
