Documentation Table Builder: Markdown & Accessible HTML
Turn CSV or manually edited cells into Markdown and escaped HTML tables, with explicit captions and header scopes, without executing imported content.
Enabling local controls…
1. Import or edit a table
Only processed in this browser; no upload or storage. CSV: 5 MiB, 20,000 data rows, 100,000 cells including headers, 200 columns; caption: 1 MiB; output: 16 MiB. Headers must be nonblank and unique; all values remain text.
Markdown uses GFM pipe tables, escapes pipes and Markdown syntax, and converts newlines to <br> (requires inline HTML support). Captions become preceding text; GFM has no native caption. HTML uses escaped plain text, caption and scope=col; input HTML is never executed.
2. Complete table output
Import data or create a blank table, then generate output.
How to use this tool
Import CSV or edit a table, provide meaningful column headings and a caption, then inspect and copy Markdown or accessible HTML for your documentation.
When not to use it
Markdown table dialects vary and may not preserve multiline cells identically. This supports simple data tables, not layout tables or complex merged-header accessibility.
