Port & Service Lookup: IANA TCP and UDP Registry
Search a dated IANA port and service snapshot by port, name or description, keep TCP and UDP separate and inspect multiple registrations without scanning a network.
Enabling local controls…
1. Port and service
Digits look up exact port 0–65535, including official range records; text searches service/description substrings, case-insensitively. Limits: 256 characters, 1000 matches, 2 MiB report; excess rejected, never truncated. Complete static IANA data loads on demand from this site; queries stay local. No scan or probe.
Official status rows with blank protocol are also retained as unspecified, never inferred as TCP/UDP. 49152–65535 is dynamic/private space.
2. Official service registrations
Enter a port or service, then look up.
How to use this tool
Load the same-origin snapshot, choose a protocol and enter a port or service search. Review all matching registrations and their source date, then export the report.
When not to use it
A registered service is not proof a host runs it. This is not port scanning, traffic identification or a guarantee that a registered port is allowed or secure.
