Icon source and background
No image loaded. Choose a file or use the synthetic sample.
Static PNG, 8-bit JPEG, WebP only. Up to 20 MiB / 16 MP per image; 8192 px per side. Animation and damaged containers are rejected; native decoding can still fail. Native decoding controls orientation; WebP EXIF orientation support differs by browser. Color, transparent edges and encoding quality depend on the browser. Original metadata is not preserved. Files stay in page memory: no upload or storage.
Safe zone and manifest
Load an icon source. Non-square images are centered proportionally, not cropped.
Only content inside the safe circle is protected from masking. Preview outlines are not exported. The safe zone is not a design certification: inspect target devices. Icons and a manifest template do not prove installability; HTTPS, correct published paths and platform testing are still required.
How to use this tool
Choose a source and opaque background, inspect ordinary and safe-zone compositions, generate four PNGs and customize the manifest paths and app details.
When not to use it
The manifest is a template, not an installability test. Maskable content fits inside a circle of radius 40% of icon size; target-device design still needs review.
